Braidwood Associates gears up to secure slice of global traffic modelling consultancy sector

A new traffic planning and engineering company specializing in professional services within the microsimulation traffic modelling sector launched globally this week.
Braidwood Associates aims to service the increasingly specialised field of microsimulation traffic modelling by providing private and public sector organisations with professional software and traffic modelling support.
The company, which was set up following an investment from its senior management team and external investors, will target private and public sector businesses worldwide.
Although principally involved in consultancy Braidwood Associates main advantage when compared to more conventional traffic consultancies is its focus on providing specialist advice on the application of microsimulation projects, predominately the Paramics software, offering network audits, project management, project specific training and sub consultancy.

Braidwood Associates is based in Edinburgh (Scotland) and the company's European and American partners will be managed through the Scottish office. The company's senior management team are currently developing the international management offering with the appointment of associates in Australia and Asia. An announcement on these appointments is expected to be made later this year.
One of Braidwood Associates key assets is its global experience in microsimulation traffic models of varying sizes from localised intersection analysis to wide area strategic traffic models in regions including Africa, Australasia, Europe, North America and South America.
