Disaster Planning Contract

Braidwood Associates has been retained by Orlando-based Leftwich Consulting Engineers to provide services for a contract between Leftwich and the State of Florida Department of Transportation. The two year project will involve the use of traffic simulation modelling techniques to develop and assess the effectiveness of contingency traffic plans should there be a catastrophic bridge incident.
The findings of the study will enable the Florida Department of Transportation to refine and synchronise freeway traffic management with public safety, emergency management, hospitals, transit and other relevant agencies.
